Our Story

Hailo-O Outwear for Kids was founded in 2006 by June Stephenson and her daughter Sherry Brown.  June got her start knitting beanies for newborns at the Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City.

When her granddaughter Hailey was born in February 2006, she began to experiment with different designs and brighter colors and soon, she was giving them as gifts.

Moms and dads loved her clever “porcupines” and “puppies” and, pretty soon, everyone wanted a hat like Hailey’s. Today, June and Sherry still knit Hail-Os by hand, AND we now have scarves to match all of our little girl styles!
